Atlanta By Six (ATLX6)

ATLX6 sculpts their performances from a unique blend of classical and contemporary compositions and improvisations on themes provided by the audience- all making for a unique and interactive experience for audience and musicians alike. Atlanta by Six made its debut in 2013 at Eddie's Attic in Decatur and has since performed in universities and churches throughout Georgia.

Atlanta by Six is an outreach of the Carroll Symphony Orchestra and is comprised of principal players from the CSO. Atlanta-area professional musicians who regularly perform with the Atlanta Opera, Atlanta Ballet, Carroll Symphony, Georgia Symphony, Huntsville Symphony, and Rome Symphony Orchestras. Its members are Terry Lowry (piano), Edward Eanes (violin), Joe Lester (viola), David Lloyd (cello), Todd Markey (double bass), and Todd Mueller (percussion).

The upcoming performance for the Griffin Area Concert Association will include Franz Schubert's "Trout" Quintet, a masterwork from the chamber music canon. ATLX6 will also perform Terry Lowry's "Scenes from the Nativity" with our own beloved Griffin Choral Arts and Griffin area soloists, under the direction of Steve Mulder, as well as the world premiere of a new composition created especially for this concert by Atlanta native, and now New York based, composer Bradley Harris.
