Parlor of Mystery & South Shore Theatre present The FFFF'd Up Magic Show
Parlor of Mystery and South Shore Theatre Experience present THE FFFFD-UP MAGIC SHOW
Starring: DAVID SCHWARTZ, MARK ZACHARIA, JIM VINES, WARREN BAUSERT AND MIKE MAIONE
Since 1971 a small group of the best close-up magicians in the world has convened in a hotel in upstate New York to share magic secrets and sleight of hand techniques, drink beer and eat donuts through the wee hours. The annual gathering is by invitation only and continues to feature the best performers, creators, and lecturers in the world. The group is known as Fechter's Finger Flicking Frolics or the FFFF. This show is FFFF'd up, that is all of the stage performers in the line-up have performed at the 4F, been awarded recognition by the group and been invited back. David Schwartz An Award-winning magician David Schwartz uses a combination of mind-reading, expert sleight-of-hand, and easygoing humor to entertain and delight his audiences leaving them laughing and amazed. Some of those who have experienced David's magic first hand include Jon Stewart, Kelly Ripa, Dick Cavett, Yoko Ono, and baseball legend Yogi Berra. Also, he's entertained top executives at Ford Motor Company, Credit Suisse, Yelp and the New York Yankees. When not performing at private parties and corporate events David can be seen Off-Broadway as a featured performer at Monday Night Magic, New York's longest-running magic show. Mark Zacharia Mark Zacharia is a magician, mind-reader, and hypnotist with more than 25 years' experience entertaining in the corporate and private sectors. His one-man shows have been featured in theaters throughout the United States. He has performed for baseball great Bobby Thomson and even given a command performance for the New York State Senate. New Jersey Monthly magazine calls him a "total bogglement" (February 2016). He can get the best reactions from audiences, whether commanding the attention of a boardroom full of executives, a living room filled with adults, a college filled with students, a theatre full of families or a house filled with guests. A magician's magician, Mark is often brought into magic conventions to teach other magicians and has authored several publications for magicians. Jim Vines On his way to South Korea to compete at FISM, the Olympics of magic, award-winning close-up artist Jim Vines returns to the Parlor to reprise the seven-minute close-up act that has won him numerous awards and taken him around the world. This show may be the only opportunity you'll have to see a FISM level close-up routine the way it is meant to be seen, close up. Mike Maione Producer Mike Maione will host the show. Maione is Long Island's silliest magician and best known for family-friendly entertainment. He is one of the founders of the Parlor of Mystery and frequently produces and performs at many Parlor of Mystery shows where his magic has a decidedly more grown-up flavor. Maione also lectures and has produced magic props and routines used by performers around the world. Warren Bausert Not yet a 4F'r, but hopeful Warren Bausert returns to the Parlor to perform close-up magic during intermission. Bausert claims he likes performing where the wine is served. He says, "The more wine the audience consumes, the better my magic is."
