A TERRIFIC three act show tonight featuring acoustic opener Kevin Murphy followed by the electric pop of Eric Salt and The Electric City and peaking with Abbie Barrett and The Last Date. Barrett draws on a wide range of influenceseverything from Pink Floyd and Radiohead to Neil Young and Aimee Mann. Her band has been featured regularly on WXRV The River's "Homegrown" program, and in American Songwriter and Performing Songwriter magazines. Last month, they were nominated for "Best in the State" by the New England Acoustic Music Awards. In 2008, the International Acoustic Music Awards gave Barrett runner-up in the category of Best Female Artist.
