Hair - The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical, presented by Ballyhoo Theatre
Ballyhoo Theatre presents HAIR, July 20-July 29, 2018
Book and Lyrics by Gerome Ragni & James Rado, Music by Galt MacDermot
The story of a group of young Americans searching for love and peace during the Vietnam era, Hair is at once both a joyous celebration of youth and a poignant journey through a very tumultuous time. Exploring ideas of identity, community, global responsibility and peace, the themes and struggles in Hair remain vital and relevant to the times we live in today. Hair features an eclectic score filled with classics, including Aquarius, Let the Sun Shine In, Good Morning, Starshine and Easy To Be Hard. Hair was nominated at the 1969 Tony Award for Best Musical and won a Grammy the same year for Best Score from an Original Cast Show Album. The 2009 revival production won the Tony Award for Best Musical Revival and also received the Drama Desk, Drama League, and Outer Critics Circle award for Outstanding Revival of a Musical.
Please be advised that this production contains strong language and explores mature themes. There will be no nudity.
On-line sales end one hour prior to show times, and the box office opens one hour before show times.
