The Hudson Valley Theatre Initiative and the Howland Cultural Center presents #QueenE, an original ninety-minute pop musical appropriate for children ten and older and...adults of all ages. Rooted in a remarkable era in history, #QueenE brings to life the story of Queen Elizabeth I, a young girl suddenly wielding immense and enviable power, who discovers her unwanted privilege comes with the constant torment of opposing extremists. But life has taught her never to shy from her own self-worth, and if she is valued as the sovereign of England, then she will rule. Her way. Elizabeth, Mary Stuart, Mary Tudor, Phillip of Spain are personified by a diverse local cast in this entirely original production which will leave you dancing, singing, and motivated to make the world a better place.
