Deric James, a Singer/Songwriter from NY has been writing songs for decades with depth and heart; songs that repay repeated listening and convey a long love of soul and classic rock. Deric has been a feature of choirs and leader of bands since age 15. He grew up outside NYC where he discovered a love of performance and story writing. As a teenager Deric became a well-known guitarist and poet. He later went on to study music business and theory. Early influences include Paul Rodgers, whose voice filled his childhood home alongside David Gilmours heartfelt guitar compositions.
Since 2005, Deric has toured regionally in small groups and has contributed to several records including 2 Grammy nominated albums. Sound Online has described him as Soulfully blending the modern with the perennial. Derics debut EP Let Love Live, produced by Grammy Award winning engineer Jeremy Parker was released on April 25, 2018.
