THE LEAGUE OF YOUTH: An Actors Equity Association Members' Project Code Presentation A SEATTLE PREMIERE
THE LEAGUE OF YOUTH By Henrik Ibsen Adapted by Jeffrey Hatcher
A young liberal, frustrated by the cronyism of politics, schemes, romances and manipulates in his fervor for power creating a League of Youth to lobby against the establishment. Ibsens only comedy, and the most popular play of his lifetime, The League of Youth caused rioting in the streets: conservatives claimed it was an attack on their party, and liberals claimed it was an attack on theirs! Jeffrey Hatchers 2017 adaptation is a quick-witted, thought-provoking comedy that feels alarmingly familiar and recent.

ABOUT THEATRE9/12 After the shock the world experienced on 9/11/01, every creative artist was summoned to fulfill their traditional responsibility: To heal and lift humanity to understand this new time To make order of perceived chaos To reassess complacent values To heal the past in order to embrace a progressive step forward. At Theatre9/12, trained and working actors, both union and non-union, continue to develop their talents and skills through workshops and performances. Their efforts climax with productions presented through the Actors Equity Association Members Project Code. Theatre9/12 staff assists these union actors in making these projects come to life.
