Soapmaking 201 Workshop: Cold Processed "Beer" Soap!
Saturday, March 30th from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday, March 31st from Noon to 1:30 p.m.
Have you made soap on your own and want to learn more? Have you taken a workshop and want to take another to get the hang of it.Join Gayle Kruger of White Moon Soaps for another two-day workshop making fine handcrafted soap. Make and take 2 1/2 lbs. or roughly (7-8) 4 1/2 oz. bars of Beer Soap. In this 201 workshop we will cover coloringsoap, "superfatting", exfolliants and most importantly, we will be making soap made with beer.Rich, creamy moisturizing ingredients of Organic Palm, Organic Coconut and Olive oil will be the base.You get to decide where to take it from there with a variety of choices of scents, colorants and additives.This workshop is for thosewho have made soap at least once and have interest in learning more fun techniques.Come with questions and your notebook to journal new ideas and inspirations. Bring an apron and clothes you don't mind getting oil stains on. Must be 15 years of age. Whether it's rolling enchiladas, felting wool, sewing or crafting bar soap, Gayle Kruger has always had her hands busy. She calls herself a crafter of the senses; if it smells good, feels good, tastes good, or of course, looks good, she is interested.Theprocess excites her, which is why she loves to teach all the mediums she has explored. Gayle is happy to share her knowledge and get you making soap at home for you and your family.
