Poem House: the Visual
In this workshop, we will consider concrete or visual poetry as a form for our text. We will look at various examples of concrete poetry and discuss what works/what doesnt and why. There will be an opportunity to generate writing or you may bring text to work with, and explore different techniques to express the language more visually. This is likely to include different materials, such as, stamps, mixed media paper, type writers, colors, photographs, etc. Some of these materials will be provided, but feel free to bring anything you especially would like to incorporate. Each participant will receive a booklet of poems, text, and miscellaneous inspiration.
