Dinner & A Movie - Black Movies Now
Reelblack's mission is to ensure the legacy of Black film via content, promotion and education. Since 2007, we have been capturing the New Black Film Revolution. With 2018 clearly becoming a game-changing year--with a number of independent filmmakers gaining massive success--Reelblack releases its long-awaited Black Film Now.
A survey of the many issues facing filmmakers of color hosted by Reelblack founder Mike D, it features exclusive interviews with many of today's heavy hitters, dealing with race, representation and responsibility. Conversations that still resonate today.
The 24 minute film will be followed by a live discussion with the filmmaker and the current state of Black Film today.
