[biography]
Dancer, acrobat, and movement coach, Jake originally studied at London School of Contemporary Dance. He believes that versatility is key if you want to make it as a dancer or mover of any kind. Having done various teaching/coaching qualifications with the likes of Cirque du Soleil and Animal Flow, as well as being a Parkour coach, he has worked with people of all ages and places; from kids in PRUs, universities, conservatoire and professional company classes. Jacob has created a mindful and holistic movement method called Primitive Movement, an approach fusing ancient lore and medicine with elements of ritual and of course, dance, acro and parkour. [class description]
A strong, dynamic class taking in elements of floor work, Animal flow and acrobatics - helping the dancers to improve their inversions and overcome fears - and floor based acro moves, all wrapped up in an energetic and fun contemporary floorwork class. Jacob aims to leave the participants with new ideas and moves that they are able to take away with them and add to their rep ready for auditions.
Booking is essential as the class has limited spaces.
