Wouldn't it be great if you could grow and harvest edible mushrooms in your backyard? The good news is you can and many people do so. Here is your chance to come learn how with the Mushroom Maestros, local experts in small scale mushroom farming.
In this hands-on workshop, we will learn about mushroom ecology and fungi life cycles and then we will apply this knowledge directly, making mushroom kits for participants to take home as well as installing a modest backyard mushroom bed in a local urban garden. We will also discuss various topics from mushroom lore to local mycoremediation projects that the Bay Area Radical Mycology group are working on.
Come and join us this Friday, March 1st, from 2 - 4:30 pm for a fungi good time.
A very limited number of tickets for the event are available, sliding scale $15 - $45, so get your tickets today! The lower end prices are for students and low income participants, while those who live in abundance and can afford a little more are encouraged to do so to support the Mushroom Maestros and Bay Area Radical Mycology projects in mycoremediation. Tickets are non-refundable.
