SoundBites is a new kind of storytelling series produced by Frontier Studios, the new non-profit arm of Frontier that expands our work as a community connector/curator/catalyst. With a dedicated theme tying each Bite together, the night will feature regional Moth StorySlam Champions and locals sharing true tales. The seventh and final installment of our third season will be themed Turning Point and features the talents of Danusia Trevino, a Polish actress and storyteller who is a double Moth Grand Slam winner and a regular at Moth Main stages; Gabrielle Melchionda, (by day) a hapless entrepreneur, who began making lip balm when she was 19 and selling it out of her car, which became Mad Gabs, her lifes work; Mark Pagán, a Moth Storyslam winner, is also an award-winning film and podcast producer, storyteller, writer, and former b-boy; Brendyn Schneider, Boston based performance instructor, host, and TedX Coach; Skylar Bayer, a marine biologist, a producer for the Story Collider, and a science communicator; Allan Monga, an asylum seeker from Zambia, is the Deering student who fought for his place in a national poetry contest; Dame Wilburn, a community educator with Generation With Promise in Detroit, Michigan. Generous sponsorship is made available by Maine Public, Allagash Brewing, The Press Hotel, and the generous donations of Toad&Co.
