Dean Stevens at the Homegrown Coffeehouse
For more than 30 years Dean Stevens has delighted audiences of all ages throughout the Americas. He was one of the first performers to appear at the Homegrown Coffeehouse, way back in 1983, and as we approach the end of our third decade, we are delighted to have him back. Dean is an exuberant performer of distinctive style and wit, combining an intricate, self-taught guitar style with a versatile and expressive singing voice. He has established himself as a formidable creator and interpreter of a wide spectrum of songs in English and Spanish. His own material explores a variety of personal and social topics, paints sketches of people and places, celebrates the Earth, and annoys the narrow minded. Dean has five highly acclaimed recordings to his credit. His latest release, the appropriately named "At Last", is another beautiful collection of songs and stories -- his own and others -- in English and Spanish. DEAN STEVENS at the Homegrown Coffeehouse, Saturday, March 9, at 8:00 P.M. The Homegrown Coffeehouse is located at the First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church, at the corner of Great Plain and Dedham Avenue in Needham center. There is free parking and full handicapped access. Admission is $15.00 / $10.00 students and seniors to benefit the Church.
