This class is based on Doctorow's fine observation that writing is like driving a car at night; you can never see further than your headlights, but you can make the whole trip that way. In this workshop we will practice writing without a plan, outline or safety net. This involves trusting ourselves and our imagination and learning about the story as we go along. Class will consist of a powerpoint presentation, group experience and a few exercises.
