Event

Joe K. Walsh & The Celia Woodsmith Quartet
In addition to our tradition of showcasing local folk music, we're thrilled to have the opportunity to regularly bring nationally recognized folk acts to our intimate listening space in Peace Dale. In that vein, we can't wait to hear how Joe K. Walsh & The Celia Woodsmith Quartet sound resonating off the stone walls and cathedral ceilings of the Pump House. $15 tickets, available online and at the door, which opens at 7pm. See you then!

About the Artists: From the Valley Breeze,"Boston-based mandolin player Joe K. Walsh has been hailed by David Grisman as a wonderful mandolin player, and by Vintage Guitar Magazine as brilliant. According to event organizers, he is known for his exceptional tone and taste, and his collaborations with acoustic music luminaries including fiddler Darol Anger, guitarist Scott Nygaard, and folk star Jonathan Edwards.

After a number of award-winning years as mandolinist with bluegrass stars the Gibson Brothers, Walsh currently splits his time between an inventive string band called Mr. Sun, a duo with Grant Gordy, and his own band. Walsh is a mandolin professor at the Berklee College of Music and teaches regularly at music camps throughout North America and beyond.

Celia Woodsmith is a Grammy-nominated performer and songwriter from Maine. Lead singer of the bluegrass ensemble Della Mae, she has toured extensively all over the world, opening for and playing with artists such as Taj Mahal, Peter Rowan and Amy Black of the Indigo Girls.

Bobby Britt is a dynamic bluegrass and old-time fiddler from Chapel Hill, N.C., currently playing fiddle in the young, hard-driving bluegrass band Town Mountain, which won an International Bluegrass Music Association Momentum award.

Zoe Guigueno is a bass player and singer based out of New York City. She is also a member of Grammy-nominated band Della Mae, an alumnus of string band Joy Kills Sorrow, and a regular in the New York klezmer scene."
