OldJack return to the their favorite room to start up the Boston Music Award winning "OldJack's Last Saturdays" residency. The wild ride tonight brings along heavy driving rock of Fire In The Field and Newport RI's fabulous Z-Boys, a most excellent power trio combining surf rock, blazing fast country, latin, and metal influences.
Bostons Fire in the Field immediately makes an impression with their furious style of heavy driving rock, pushing the boundaries of rock n roll with energy, depth and detail. Known for dangerous improv overlaid with poetry, the music is an honest attack on the soul played with a sense of urgency and unfettered passion. The bands signature endorphin-releasing, guitar-driven sound has a bluesmans swagger with a punk heart. Frontman Mike Moore channels Hendrix via Prince, both musically and in showmanship, exploring the limits of the guitar with true abandon. Leaving it all on the stage, Moore pushes the envelope, exploring a melting pot of influences, from psychedelic and blues to funk and R & B.
The Z-Boys are a most excellent power trio hailing from Newport, Rhode Island. With a combination of surf rock, blazing fast country, latin, and metal influences, The Z-Boys will grab your attention and give it a smooch. If you can pick your jaw up off the floor, you may find yourself dancing until the tequila emerges from all your pores. Oh, and we'll make you pancakes after.
