2017-18 Season Finale & Young Artist Showcase Concert
New York's highly acclaimed chamber orchestra, Ensemble 212 presents its 2017-18 Season Finale on Saturday June 2 at 8 PM the at Good Shepherd-Faith Presbyterian Church at Lincoln Center.
The program features talented Young Artist Competition Winners, 17 year old violinist Daniel Seog and 16 year old cellist Charles Zandieh. Cellist Mariel Roberts presents the New York premiere of Composer in Residence Jeffrey Mumford's two rhapsodies for violoncello and string orchestra. Rounding out the program is Mozart's Idomeneo Overture (with a brand new concert ending by Yoon Jae Lee) and Beethoven's exhilarating Second Symphony.
Ensemble 212's live on-screen program notes provides a unique experience, giving audiences musical insight, analysis, and in-depth background information about each work.
