Central Maryland Youth Ballet 2018 "Spring Showcase" Performance
Presenting CMYB's 13th annual Spring Showcase Performances June 22 7:00pm and June 23 2:00pm. The performances will be held at Our Lady of Good Counsel High School Performing Arts Center, 17301 Old Vic Boulevard Olney, MD 20832. The Showcase features dancers from the entire school in 6 reperatory pieces. The styles of dance range from contemporary movement to classical ballet. "Sinfonia - A Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra" is a dancer's interpretation of the many instruments of the orchestra complete with a conductor. "Country Gardens" is a celebration of CMYB's children's division and their joy of dance. "Untitled" is a new contemporary piece. "Pas de Cinq" (a dance for five) featuring our Ballet IV dancers. "About Nine" a neo-classical ballet premiered at the 2018 Howard County Community Dance Festival. "Paquita" a classical ballet featuring a grand pas de deux, variations and beautiful ensemble dancing.
