Sleeping Bee
'Sleeping Bee" is a band of four longtime friends and multi-instrumentalists whose style can be best described as acoustic world folk jazz. Comprised of bassist Lindsey Horner of jazz, folk and multi-genre renown; multi-instrumentalist Andy Goessling who is a founding member of the group 'Railroad Earth'; eclectic percussionist Randy Crafton and harmonic singing virtuoso, Timothy Hill, their music showcases a wide range of expertise a depth of feeling gathered from years of experience. The band has just completed their second recording, 'Come Down in Thunder,' which features original compositions as well as strikingly fresh readings of pieces by the likes of John McLaughlin, Bob Dylan and Blind Willie Johnson. Their first recording, 'Heyday Maker,' exists in that unique 21st Century area where folk, jazz, Celtic song forms and original ideas all co-exists and vitalize each other. All four musicians have spent much time as sidemen making other artists sound good. 'Sleeping Bee' is their chance to have their say.
