Tank-eret: Burn It Down
Long before becoming Mayor of Chicago or serving as President Obama's Chief of Staff, Rahm Emanuel turned down a scholarship from the prestigious Joffrey Ballet. What happened that made him abandon his dreams for a life in politics? With a mix of Chicago-style comedy and Broadway finesse, Burn it Down is a tongue in cheek imagining of how Rahm Emanuel ended up where he is today, and what he has to do to be able to break free of his mayoral chains and dance again. With a cast of Broadway and off-Broadway talents portraying Rahm and his nearest and dearest (including Barack Obama), you'll never look at Rahm Emanuel the same way after this show.
Book, music, and lyrics by Dyan Flores. Directed by Tasha Gordon-Solmon. Music direction and arrangements by Josh Kight.
