Plants Against the Patriarchy: Invoking the Allyship of Magical Plants
We typically think of working with plants for personal benefit, but by opening to a subtle and deeper awareness, certain herbaceous friends want to assist in addressing larger global issues, stemming from capitalism and patriarchy. In this class, we will tap into the healing wisdom contained within the green Earth, and learn which plants want to assist us in creating a balanced world that we all want to live in---including with the flowers themselves!
Jaysen Paulson is a Portland-based queer astrologer, herbalist and founder of the Portland School of Astrology. His work with Cosmophilia includes the marriage of astrology and herbal medicine with health and wellness, producing a line of Astrological Herbals, teas and sprays. JayPs work has been featured at astrology and plant medicine conferences, and the Portland Art Museum. He currently sees astrology clients in his Hollywood District office and is writing a book titled Plants & Planets: Herbal Medicine, Flower Essences and Astrology.
