Getting Your Essential Nutrients on a Plant Based Diet
Where will I get your protein without meat, poultry, fish, eggs and dairy? How can I keep my calcium level up without milk? Wait...a vegan diet has a LOT of carbs. Carbs are bad for you, right? I don't want to be anemic. What about iron? Potassium, iodine, zinc, magnesium, Omega 3 fatty acids, vitamin D, Vitamin B12, we'll discuss them all.
I will go over macronutrients and micronutrients one by one, and if you still have questions when I am finished, ask away, and I will answer them (or find you the answer if I can't answer them.) The cost is $20 (payable by cash or credit card at Garlik Vegan) or get your ticket through here for a small fee.
Your ticket includes the presentation along with a delicious slice (or two) of pizza and a dessert (either carrot cake or raw cheesecake).
We will provide water to drink, and will have other beverages, including beer, wine, hard cider, kombucha, and soda available for purchase.
