Based on Puccini's 'La Boheme', this rock opera tells the story of one year in the life of a group of bohemians struggling in modern day East Village New York. The story centers around Mark and Roger, two roommates. While a former tragedy has made Roger numb to life, Mark tries to capture it through his attempts to make a film. In the year that follows, the group deals with love, loss, AIDS, and modern day life in one truly powerful story.

With this production, Beyond the Stage is sponsoring a new conversation.

We are producing this show as a benefit for the Los Angeles HIV/AIDS charity The Stigma Project (www.thestigmaproject.org) and for the Manchester Labs Foundation Scholarship Fund. This production will be a catalyst for the next conversation regarding HIV/AIDS. We aren't willing to keep silent about education, prevention, and community outreach in Los Angeles.
