A TASTE OF TANGO & MORE

TEATRO Si, the premier Latin American and Spanish theatre arts company of New Jersey, returns to the area with a memorable and unique interactive evening of Tango Argentino and Salsa at the elegant Leir Hall at the Montclair Art Museum, located at 3 South Mountain Avenue and Bloomfield Avenue in Montclair, N.J., just 2 miles west of Garden State Parkway exit #148. Come join your hosts, NYC and Buenos Aires professional dancers Sara Grdan and Ivan Terrazas and their special guest artists as they bring you A TASTE OF TANGO & MORE on Saturday, May 10, 2008, from 7:30PM to midnight. This special event celebrates the essence of Tango Argentino by offering you a chance to mingle with some of the best guest performers of this popular South American dance form and also offers a taste of popular Salsa dance!
The evening begins at 7:30PM with a live Tango music concert and dance interpretations by professional dancers Sara and Ivan. A Tango dance lesson for beginners follows at 8PM. Then everyone is invited to stay for a practica or practice session to the sounds of recorded classic Tango music. At 10PM a taste of Salsa will be offered with dance lessons by professional instructors. Then everyone is welcome to stay for a unique combination of an authentic milonga (tango dance party) and Latin dance party till 12 midnight. Refreshments will be served during the dance party.
Dress to impress for this unique event that transports you to a romantic evening in Buenos Aires and beyond! The experience is suited for both the novice dancer as well as the more advanced aficionado of Latin music. Singles and couples are welcome and partners are not necessary.
