Dylan Jack Quartet at the CCA Cabaret Café
The Dylan Jack Quartet features Todd Brunel (woodwinds), Eric Hofbauer (guitar), Tony Leva (bass), and Dylan Jack (drums, compositions). They are an ensemble focusing on combining intricately composed segments utilizing odd meters and phrasing with plenty of space for improvisations that showcase each players individual voice and in-depth group improvisations. With improvisation at the groups core, the Dylan Jack Quartet also utilizes stylistic elements from the modern classical tradition as well as avant-rock and world music.
On this this evening, DJQ will be performing brand new music as well as selections from their debut record Diagrams that was released last year.
