"Artists & Performers" Guided Walking Tour at Lakewood
Summer evenings are a wonderful time to stroll through the grounds of Lakewood. Take in the beautiful gardens and long vistas while you learn a bit of fun, local history.
On the "Artists & Performers" walking tour, we will explore Minnesota's creative history. Lakewood serves as the final resting place for all kinds of artists from painters to musicians, dancers to architects, performers to art philanthropists. Hear the stories of Tiny Tim, T.B. Walker (Walker Art Museum), Showman's Rest and more.
Tickets are $5, which goes toward a Perpetual Care Fund to help keep maintain Lakewood's grounds for generations to come.
Details for that day: The tour will depart from in front of the Garden Mausoleum (the building immediately to your right upon entering the cemetery). Parking is available along the road near the building.
Be prepared to walk a mile and a half across both paved roads and uneven ground. Wear comfortable walking shoes.
We will plan to walk in light rain, however the tour will be cancelled in the event of serious weather (we will notify you by email if that happens).
Please note: We are sorry, this tour is not ADA accessible. Please see our other upcoming events for ADA accessible options.
