"Of all the forms of inequity, injustice in health is the most shocking and inhumane."
- Dr Martin Luther King Jr

Dance Mission Theater is excited to announce its latest production, Comhar, a unique collaboration between artists, activists, healers, researchers, and community. Performance, talk, and ritual will examine the stark realities and affects of health disparity and trauma, specifically in how they intersect with HIV/AIDS acquisition and transmission and color and gender inequities. The event looks not only at the challenges we face as a community, but also the beauty that lies in our resilience and the divine feminine. The event begins with a masquerade at 3pm through the Zuckerberg SF General Hospital, calling on the angels that have fallen to the virus and celebrates the 35th anniversary of Ward 86. At 6:45pm we reconvene at Dance Mission Theater. In addition to performances and talks, free wellness activities will held at Dance Mission including HIV testing offered  by the SF AIDS Foundation as well as dinner provided by Radio Afrika Kitchen.
