ARCADE Salon: How Truly Great Food Can Save Our Ecosystems
*** PLEASE NOTE: Due to a scheduling conflict the date of this event has been changed from Wednesday, June 13 to Tuesday, June 12. ***
Did you know that more carbon has been released by soil tillage than by all the oil ever burned? Amazingly, climate issues are just the tip of the melting iceberg, when it comes to the problems and solutions in our food systems.
Join ARCADE, Mericos Rhodes and Justin Stenkamp to learn how food systems are our most impactful interface with ecology, how we can use biomimicry to cooperate with nature, and how you can choose food that heals your body from the inside out, and our earth from the soil up.
Farmer and writer Mericos Rhodes lives at the juncture of agriculture and environmentalism. He is a co-founder of Spoon Full Farm, which grows healthy soil and biodiverse plants and animals that provide a delicious way to heal your body and the earth.
Justin Stenkamp is a project manager and engineer at PAE Consulting Engineers and also a permaculturist and farmer at Seek and Restore Farm in Ravensdale, Washington.
Based on availability, tickets may also be purchased at the door.
