Our 89th season begins with "Twelfth Night", marking the first time William Shakespeares work has been produced on the Barn Theater stage. The classic centers on a pair of twins separated by a shipwreck and navigating the pitfalls of love and mistaken identity. Next up is Neil Simons "The Odd Couple." This timeless comedy tells the story of two hilariously mismatched roommates, Oscar and Felix. Following that will be the thriller "Deathtrap" by Ira Levin. Suspense mounts steadily as the plot begins to twist and turn, all with an abundance of thrills and masterful comic writing. Our fourth show is "These Shining Lives" by Melanie Marnich. Based on the true story of four young women who painted radium watch faces in 1920s Illinois, the play dramatizes corporate corruption, cover up, and misogyny in the work place. Following that is our Ross Alternative Works Festival featuring "Scott & Zelda: The Beautiful Fools." Next up is "Moll Flanders" by Jennifer Le Blanc and based on Daniel Dafoes novel of the same name. A bawdy story, the protagonist is a poor damsel who surrenders her virtue again and again (and again) to get to the top of society. The last show of our 89th season is "Crimes of the Heart" by Beth Henley. This dramedy relates the story of the three Magrath sisters - Meg, Babe, and Lenny - who reunite at Old Granddaddys home in Hazelhurst, Mississippi after Babe shoots her abusive husband.
