Read Across America Month Finale
Literacy Mid-South has chosen Wonder by R.J. Palacio as our 2013 Book of Choice. The staff of Literacy Mid-South chose this book because of the themes of anti-bullying and kindness. This is a book for adults, children, book clubs, families, and schools. We will be celebrating the book throughout the month of March. We invite you to join us!
On Tuesday, April 2nd from 6-9:15, Literacy Mid-South will close out our month of reading by hosting a special presentation at Rhodes College. At the free event, participants will enjoy:
a Skype call from RJ Palacio, author of Wonder special presentation by Wendi Thomas, founder of Common Ground special presentation by Jasmine Gray, a Memphis-born documentary filmmaker whose own facial abnormality is the subject of an upcoming documentary screening of the documentary "Bully"
This event is free and open to the public but has extremely limited seating. Tickets are required but are free. *Please note: Bully contains strong language unsuitable for young children
