Leaf Peeper Concert - Amernet String Quartet
The third concert of the Leaf Peeper 2018 Season, featuring Amernet String Quartet with Leaf Peeper Music Director Eugenia Zukerman
The program will include:
Beethoven: Piano Sonata Pathetique, arr. for String Quartet by Jeff Briggs
Friedrich Kuhlau: Adagio ma non troppo from Quintet for Flute and Strings, Op. 51, No. 1 in D Major
Alberto Ginastera: Impresiones de la Puna, for flute and string quartet
Beethoven: String Quartet Np. 15 in A Minor, Op. 132 'Heiliger Dankgesang'
Praised for their intelligence and immensely satisfying playing by the New York Times, the Amernet String Quartet has garnered recognition as one of todays exceptional string quartets and are Ensemble-in-Residence at Florida International University in Miami. Their sound has been called complex but with an old world flavor. Strad Magazine described the Amernet as a group of exceptional technical ability.
