Felting wool is historically, the first technique fabric was made, even before weaving or knitting. Needle felting is a relatively new craft from the 80s, but has caught on because of its easy and satisfying way to create three-dimensional objects. Animals, plants, birds, fantasy figures are all popular subjects for needle felting. In this introductory class we will create a fox family from a kit that will provide all the materials you need to make these charming wool characters with extra to practice with at home. This class will cover the use of tools, different wools for different effects, how to use wire armatures for articulated sculptures, material/instructional resources and more.
