The Ghost Wolves at Book & Bar! (Gutbucket set)
Monday night jams. Local favorite Stu Dias opening. Be here.
The Ghost Wolves from Austin, Texas are Carley Wolf and Jonny Wolf. In the 7 years since they began making music together, they've played their eclectic blend of punk, blues and rock n roll at nearly 800 shows around the world including sold out gigs in Tokyo, New York, L.A. and most of the capital cities of Europe. Their two full length album releases, "Man, Woman, Beast" and "Texas Platinum" have been met by critical acclaim in publications such as USA Today and Rolling Stone. Both albums were released on independent labels in the USA and Europe. Recent band projects include a multi-season long clothing collaboration with famed Japanese fashion line Hysteric Glamour, which finds guitarist Carley's art on high end clothing in 40+ stores throughout Asia, with many items already sold out. Carley also recently acted in her first full length film, Mr. Roosevelt, which was produced by Noel Wells (Master of None, SNL) and debuted at SXSW 2017 to multiple awards. The film later saw a theatrical release and is now available on Netflix. The bands recorded music has been licensed by networks including HBO, Netflix, Showtime, MTV and Oxygen. They also self produce many of their own music videos. In early to mid 2018 the band is opening a two month long tour in the USA for Lincoln Durham, performing their "GUTBUCKET" set, a semi-stripped down version of their full out rock show where Jonny plays pots and pans with butter knives in lieu of drums, while Carley trades her vintage 6 string Silvertone for a 3 string cigar box guitar and banjo. They will return to Europe in June to perform at FUSION, one of Europe's largest alternative music festivals, followed by their first performance at Muddy Roots Festival in Tennessee during labor day weekend.
