Mohawk Valley Cup 2013
Mohawk Valley Cup is a men's derby tournament hosted by The Quadfathers in August of each year, and has quickly become a highlight of the regular season for MRDA teams and rankings. In 2013, the tournament will be held August 17-18 in Rome NY at JFK Civic Arena.
In addition to the tournament itself there will be the first EVER MRDA Officiating Clinic held Thurs-Fri Aug 15-16th directly preceding the tournament in the same venue. This two-day clinic is open to participants of all skill levels who either currently work or are interested in learning to work men's derby bouts. Topics are still being finalized, but will include on and off skates instruction on a variety of topics including conflict resolution, issues specific to officiating men's derby, skating skills workshops, real-time feedback and instruction during men's scrimmages, and a round table discussion with skaters and officials, among others. Registration information will be forthcoming; please keep an eye on the MRDA website for details and updates.
We will continue to update our regular newsfeed blog with updates on the Cup, as well as updating information on this page as soon as it becomes available.
