Laudate Pueri--Praise the Lord, Ye Children
Virtuosic vocal works by Johann Adolph Hasse (1699-1783), Il Sassone...a German with the musical passions of an Italian,who was for a number of decades the most prolific and popular composers of opera seria in Italy and German-speaking countries. Works: Hasses Laudate Pueri and Miserere in C minor, written for the Venetian Ospedale degli incurabili; and the aria Fuggiam dove sicura from Hasses opera Piramo e Tisbe.
