Embracing The Beloved
EMBRACING THE BELOVED WEDNESDAY, MAY 1 AT 7:30PM
Embracing the Beloved is a concert of music from the Carnatic (South Indian), Sephardic (Judeo-Spanish), and Persian cultural traditions. Co-creators Nirmala Rajasekar, David Jordan Harris, and Maryam Yusefzadeh explore shared themes across the three cultures, looking to music as the messenger of a universal soul. Each artist will perform with a musical ensemble that specializes in the music of their tradition Voices of Sepharad (Sephardic), Roboyat (Persian), and nationally recognized artists working in the Carnatic tradition. This production is co-sponsored by the Jay Phillips Center for Interfaith Learning.
Tickets: $15 General Public $12 JCC members, students and seniors
ALL TICKETS ARE WILL-CALL and will be held at the box office under your name for pick up right before the event. Seating is general admission.
