ARTS ENCOUNTER, MONET'S GARDEN, ages 7 - 10
Ages 7 - 10
Monday to Thursday, from 1:00pm - 3:00pm
Your young dancers will explore a different story ballet each week culminating in a Thursday family performance.
The children will use improvisation, basic movement concepts, folk dance, and classical ballet to recreate the story ballets. Your children will design and construct costumes, props, and scenery to enhance their production.
At snack time, well explore a different culture and era while we try foods from around the world.
Just as Linnea was inspired by Monet's garden, we are inspired to bring his gardens to life.
Your artists and dancers will recreate Monet's Japanese bridge, the water, the water lilies, the goldfish, and sunlight.
As Claude Monet once said Dancing is the next best thing to visiting Paris.
