Fun with Logic Models Workshop
Are you curious about the use of logic models in nonprofit planning and management?  Are your donors asking you for a logic model to support your new project proposals?  Planning tools, such as the logic model, can help with program and project planning, monitoring and evaluation, strategy development, and communications with funders and stakeholders.  The logic model is an ideal tool to facilitate participatory planning.  A well-prepared logic model can be shared with funders and stakeholders to demonstrate the impact of your agencys activities and programs and to illustrate the difference that your nonprofit is making in the lives of people in the community.  This seminar will cover the preparation and use of logic models.  At the end of the seminar you will be able to prepare a logic model and use it in your everyday work.

Ed Haugh worked at the Asian Development Bank in Manila, Philippines where designed, managed and implemented projects in the education, health and water supply sectors. He has extensive experience with using logic models in project design and implementation and enjoys sharing his experience with Triangle nonprofits.  His final assignment was as the Senior Advisor for Afghanistan Operations, where he assisted the government to prepare for its initial economic development strategy. He was a Peace Corps volunteer in South Korea and a Program Officer for Catholic Relief Services, an international nonprofit, in Indonesia and the Philippines.

Ed graduated with a bachelors degree in Political Science from the University of Maryland. He earned his M.A. in International Administration from The School for International Training in Brattleboro, Vermont, and his Master of Public Health from UNC.

Since joining ESC in 2008, Ed has helped numerous nonprofit clients with board development, board retreat, logic models and outcomes management, organizational review and strategic planning projects.
