THE SILENT EYE
This program is a tribute to the great musician and composer, Cecil Taylor, who just passed this month. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time. Because of Cecil's admiration of Amiri Baraka's work, we will start the program with a short by Harlem filmmaker Frank Hooker.
THE SILENT EYE Directed by: Amiel Courtin-Wilson 70m (Australia, US) 2017
A highly intimate, impressionistic portrait of the unspoken rapport between Cecil Taylor and Min Tanaka - two masters of their form, at work together.
