Think Science: Medical Marijuana
As the opioid crisis worsens, more Americans are looking toward alternative sources of pain relief, one of which is marijuana. Cannabis has been reported to alleviate pain and anxiety, and may benefit glaucoma and epilepsy patients.
At TPRs next Think Science event, well talk to a neurologist, parent, and medical marijuana supplier about what they see as the benefits of cannabis, and what the future of treatment looks like. Can the drug be separated from its history as a Schedule 1 narcotic? Can less potent substances such as CBD oil provide some of the same benefits as marijuana itself?
TPRs Ryan Poppe will moderate the discussion at noon on Friday, May 18 at the Pearl Studio.
Guests: Morris Denton, Compassionate Cultivation Karen Keough, MD, Child Neurology Consultants Amy Lou Reagan, MAMMA
Think Science: Medical Marijuana Location: Pearl Studio 200 East Grayson Stree, in the Full Goods Building San Antonio, TX 78215
