Ruth Duffy (RACHEL KELLER) is getting by on the salary of an Admissions Assistant at a pricey school for girls on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. She is living alone, managing to move beyond the trouble and loss of her teenage years. Meanwhile, Jonny Collins (FINN WITTROCK) is working local jobs and living the life of a wily thief, close to the hum of traffic crossing the Throgs Neck Bridge in the Bronx. When they cross paths, after years apart, Jonny is as consumed with Ruth as he was in their high school days. He begins to infiltrate her life; and true to form, with the unwitting involvement of Nan & Steven Noble (EMILY MORTIMER, JAMES RANSONE), Jonny orchestrates an uptown heist. WRITE WHEN YOU GET WORK is a comedy of money and access, a love story that's mischievous, pointed and romantic in the classical sense.
