Summer Camp: BUILD IT! CAMP - Wood & Wire
August 6-10, 2018 9:30am-3:30pm, Monday-Friday
Instructor: Rachel Knudson Students entering grades 1-4
Let your imagination run wild in this week-long camp for elementary school-aged kids! Learn to build using sustainable materials including wood, wire, and other fun scrap media. Students will explore free-standing sculpture, hanging puppets, mini-houses and more! Safety and basic tool skills, as well as creative engineering for connecting materials, will be carefully covered.
BIO Rachel Knudson is the founder of Sticky Art Lab, an educational art studio for creative reuse in Berkeley, CA. She brings years of hands-on experience teaching young inventors and creators about new ways of seeing, playing and experimenting with uncommon materials, along with a love of community-building, humor and the environment.
