Summer Camp: DREAM UP NOW - Explore teen emotions through the arts
July 16-20, 2018 Session 1: 9:30am-12pm, Monday-Friday Session 2: 1pm-3:30pm, Monday-Friday
Instructors: Rayne Lacko and Lesley Holmes Students entering grades 8-11
Explore the unlimited world of creative expression with DREAM UP NOW! This camp encourages you to explore your personal identity through creation! Make music, writing a story or song, sketch a picture, or even cut and paste a collage if thats more your speed. The workshop features new themes and activities every day, as well as guest speakers who work professionally in the art industry to give you a new perspective on the importance of creative expression. Join us for this fun, fresh workshop that that provides a safe space for you to become more you!
INSTRUCTOR BIOS Rayne Lacko co-leads the Teen Writers Workshop through the Bainbridge Public Library, and the biannual Teen Story Slam. She believes music, language, and art connect us and explores those themes in her novels, RADIO HEAD and HOW I LEARNED TO PLAY GUITAR.
Lesley Holmes has spent the last 8 years in the non-profit sector assisting children through alternative therapies and music education. She created and opened the Michael Jackson Music Education Lab in Hollywood.
