Batucada do Norte
Caponi Art Parks fourth installment of the 2018 Summer Performance Series is Batucada do Norte.
Batucada do Norte is Tim and Pat OKeefes crazy caravan of grooves. With one foot firmly planted on the beautiful sandy beaches of Brazil, they gaze longingly at distant shimmering oases of rhythm, from the asphalt funk of America to the lopsided yet intoxicating beats of the East, both Near and Far. No matter where they go, some things are for sure: itll be LOUD, itll ROCK, and you wont want to stay in your seat!!
In addition to our main parking lot at 1220 Diffley Road, performance parking is available at the Lexington-Diffley Athletic fields (unless noted). Banners and signs will be posted. Walking distance to amphitheater is a hilly 5-minute hike from either entrance. Golf carts are available to transport guests with mobility needs.
In case of rain, the event will be held on August 19th.

Steve, I have done many of the Friday beer and blue grass type shows. Are the Sunday shows similar in that we can bring a little picnic with us? Thanks, Barry |

Feel free to bring a picnic. There will not be food or beer for sale during SPS events. There is popcorn, water and lemon aid for patrons. |
