Clam Slam -- an oiginal play
From award winning writer Rufus Drawling, winner of the 2017 Charm City Fringe Festival Audience Choice Award, comes the original play Clam Slam."
An eccentric family of championship swimmers is plagued each year by deaths by shark attacks (and alternately, blessed with swimming trophies) live by the ocean where wild horses trample the beach and beach houses. A cousin is troubled by his devotion to God and his suppressed homosexuality. A popular drug dealer pushes in on the family. An invalid uncle (the survivor of a shark attack) fights hallucinations of demons and spouts cryptic non-sequiturs. A gay surfer becomes part of their unruly clan. A bed-wetting grown man starts a relationship with his sister, and a double-wedding of incest and queerdom is planned for the same day as the great swim race in shark-infested waters.
Who will live? Who will die? Who will make the wedding cake?
