The PERKOLATORS w/ Obvious Pocket
Hailing from State College, Pennsylvania, the Perkolators have firmly planted themselves on the regions music map as Central PAs reggae-rock representatives.
Formed in 2012, this indie six-piece have managed to build an impressive local resume, having shared the stage with touring acts such as Rusted Root, Flux Capacitor, The Hip Abduction, Passafire, and Badfish at venues including The State Theatre and Tussey Mountain Ampitheatre, bringing their unique progressive reggae-rock sound with them wherever they go.
Nodding to modern American acts like Rebelution, Sublime, 311, The Expendables and Tribal Seeds, while also paying respect to legends such as Bob Marley and Steel Pulse, The Perkolators have crafted many-a-setlist to pull people onto the dance floor and keep them there, including a dozen or more original pieces sprinkled in with their signature reggae-styled interpretations of classic and modern covers, topped-off with a big heaping of jam-band influence.
Frontwoman Crissee Gordon gets the party going with her sultry vocals and captivating dance moves, while Eric Milinchuk and Tim Higgins trade guitar licks and Jack Ray adds depth and variety with his saxophone lines. All glued together with a rhythm section including Thomas Niuman on drums and Ed Colby on bass, when these guys take the stage theres no telling how deep the groove might go.
