Leonardo Live
In Person: Filmmaker PHIL GRABSKY
Leonardo Live offers an unprecedented opportunity for audiences worldwide to experience the once-in-a-lifetime exhibition "Leonardo da Vinci: Painter at the Court of Milan," captured at the U.K. National Gallery. Due to the fragility of the paintings, the exhibition cannot tour. Working closely with the National Gallery in London, who allowed live filming in their gallery for the first time, this pioneering project brings a unique view of these masterpieces by the legendary artist to cinemas around the world. Leonardo Live captures the excitement and buzz of a unique and exclusive occasion, while also providing an in-depth commentary and broad insight into the remarkable works on show at this sell-out exhibition, which was the greatest collection of Leonardo works ever displayed in one location. Along with his expert introductions to each major painting art historian Tim Marlow is joined for a live discussion in front of the works with a series of specially invited experts and guests. We are also taken behind the scenes to see key moments in the run up to the exhibition, such as the framing of the National Gallery's Virgin of the Rocks and the arrival at the gallery of the Salvator Mundi (the first newly authenticated Leonardo in 100 years). Tickets for the exhibition sold out within days of going on sale but now Leonardo Live gives you the opportunity to see this stunning exhibition.
