Yucafest VII con Panteon Rococo, The Resignators and Los Furios

Mexican ska super stars Panteon Rococo play Vancouver for the
first time with Los Furios and The Resignators from Australia.

Super Chido Productions and CJSF are glad to present the 7th Yucafest at the Wise Hall on June 21st with Mexican sensation Panteon Rococo, The Resignators from Australia and local powerhouse Los Furios.

Panteon Rococó is celebrating 22 years of blending several styles of popular music such as rock, punk, salsa, mariachi, reggae, ska, and mestizo-music into a very energetic, groovy sound. They will be coming with a full band who will shake Vancouver to its foundations. They are one of the most popular bands in Mexico where they fill stadiums, so youre sure to get the authentic Mexican ska vibe here in Vancouver with all the Mexican ex-Mexpats attending the show. Panteon Rococo has been a very vocal voice of the left in Mexico supporting the Zapatistas in Chiapas; some of their lyrics contain political statements, while many others are love songs. A new CD is ready and after an European tour and Mexican dates, Panteon Rococo are ready to conquer Victoria and Vancouver.

The Resignators, have been bringing their brand of 'Aussie' Ska Punk to the universe for the past eleven years.
Its a sound of melodic horns and floating keyboards fuelled by a tight, hard hitting rhythm section powered by a Jamaican inspired back beat that has been compared to The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Less Than Jake and Suicide Machines.

Los Furios are simply the best ska band on the West Coast and every year they prove it. They are about to hit their 20th anniversary and after 5 Mexican tours they are the perfect band to open for Panteon Rococo. They will warm up the room after the powerful ska punk of the Resignators.
