Colleen White and Sean Smith

Colleen White (vocals, whistle, flute) and Sean Smith (vocals, guitar, bouzouki, bodhran) are of different generations, but find common ground in their love of the music of Ireland and the UK. Their ever-burgeoning, increasingly eclectic repertoire includes traditional songs and instrumentals as well as material from contemporary singer-songwriters like Kate Rusby, Sean Cooney, Karine Polwart, Steve Tilston and Tommy Sands, presented with pleasing vocal harmonies and solid accompaniment. They've performed at Club Passim as part of BCMFest, the Dorchester Irish Heritage Festival, Newton Free Library, St. John's Coffeehouse (Arlington), Open Book Coffeehouse(Canton) and the BeBop. Carriage House Concerts brings the finest performers of Classical and traditional music to the beautifully restored 1793 Carriage House at Gore Place. Described as a lovely little music box of a room, the Carriage Room offers intimacy (capacity 75) and wonderful acoustics (most performances dont require amplification). Onsite parking is free and the facility is fully accessible.
